Another Dimension of a Toxic Brew....

I was thinking about a Toxic Brew Review that I'm doing tomorrow for a group of women and it made me think of another dimension of GET CLEAN. I know that I have been passionate for years and have spoken to many groups about the whole idea of getting rid of the toxins in our homes. And how it might not be just from the window cleaner here or the laundry stuff here or the plastics,, but when they are all together and you look at the ingredients and the off gassing, it's like a chemical cesspool, a toxic brew and it wrecks havoc with our health and our lives.
It's the same way in our hearts. We might have a bad attitude toward someone and just push it off and ignore her, and then get upset at something our kids do and keep going etc. and then have a grudge toward someone else.....and maybe they seem all little things, but they collect cobwebs and can become toxic, a ' spiritual cesspool", a toxic brew in our hearts.....where we need some fresh air, and we wonder why we have trouble 'breathing' or even hearing all the God has for us. In Luke 2 the people were wondering if John the Baptist was the Messiah. He intervened " I'm baptizing you here in the river . The main character in this drama, to whom I'm a mere stagehand, will ignite the kingdom life, a fire, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He's going to clean house--make a clean sweep of your lives. He'll place everything true in it's proper place before God; everything false he'll put out with the trash to be burned." So, as we think of making the switch and de-toxing our homes for the health of our family and the earth, don't forget to clean out the cobwebs in your soul as well. Ah, fresh air.
