Vitamin Water. Yes or No?

Throughout this nasty cold and flu season, we have made many batches of our own "Healthy Vita H20".  And it tastes delicious, actually.  If I felt like I might be headed toward catching something, into the magic bullet  went our super healthy formula with some ice and water.  Delightful even with popcorn!

The idea of a liquid beverage with a nutritional edge is great, but when companies  go out and sell 'vitamin water' with  32 grams of sugar...  that is 8 teaspoons of processed sugar!!!  well, that's alarming! Exhibit  A for an oxymoron.  Check out this label from a popular brand made by Coke. Oh, yes, it's the real thing. Real liquid sugar.  A disgrace to the word vitamin and to H20.  Read more on this here.

So, here are some variations of a recipe for our homemade  Healthy Vitamin Water. The ingredients in it  may help fight off or prevent cold/flu and blending up the vitamins into this drink is a great alternative for children who don't swallow tablets yet or who don't like the chewables.
