Yes WHEY or No WHEY. What do you think?

This summer with the Olympics right around the corner, we are focusing on Sports Nutrition and the safety of the products out there. With all the 5 K's and marathons and other runs and walks happening, people are running to vitamins stores and purchasing protein products and energy drinks to keep them going.   The idea is good, but I will stand up and shout out again and again how important it is to KNOW THY COMPANY because advertising and promos and words can be confusing and convincing.  Here is an example.  ( thanks to Dansbullets.com)  My favorite line below showing the Shaklee difference is " Perhaps most important is the fact that the science behind our whey protein products substantiates their benefit."

THE SHAKLEE WHEY PROTEIN DIFFERENCE

Here is how the product — “One World Whey” Protein Powder is marketed …

The World’s First & Only 100% Unheated Whey Protein Powder
One World Whey™ is the first, 100% UNHEATED, cold-temperature processed, 100% all-natural, and unrefined, bioactive, grass-pasture raised milk-whey protein powder.
Regardless of the claims, no other protein powder on the market is truly unheated from start to finish.
One World Whey™ is produced using the TruCool™ process, which is the world’s first all-natural,
cold-formulation process for maximum nutrient retention.
This unique process produces the highest level of naturally occurring, cell-regenerating, lean muscle-developing and immune system-enhancing, bioactive whey protein.
This is NOT just another ordinary “protein supplement” taken to meet daily nutritional needs or build muscle.
One World Whey™ is a full-spectrum, all-natural, nutritional POWER FOOD providing overall life-enhancing benefits.

Here is the Shaklee Science Response
First of all, we have to step back and understand that the idea of unheated whey protein is a marketing diversion. It has no bearing on the value or benefit of the product.
And to clarify, the One World product is whey concentrate, which contains about 40% less protein than whey isolate used in both Physique and Cinch Whey, which is why the serving size of whey concentrate is huge compared with whey isolate to achieve similar protein levels.
Also, it is illegal to market non-pasteurized milk products in the U.S., so the “other” product must be pasteurized (heated) somewhere along the production process. For the record, our whey is sourced
from non-GMO, grass-fed cows.
Perhaps most important is the fact that the science behind our whey protein products substantiates their benefit.
Additionally, every raw ingredient, including whey is screened for more than 300 possible contaminants (the industry standard is about 70) to ensure a pure, potent product that does what we say it does.
Have a great day,
Your friends at Shaklee
